November things
progress not perfection, trying to fold the fitted sheet, and more voice notes
dear good people,
My pre-New Year’s resolution is to hit send on newsletters (and on life things) before I overthink them. I’m applying the same spirit to doing nothing, trying to fold the fitted sheet, and responding to the boys group chat. Progress, not perfection, amiright?
So I decided to whip together this edition during one of my 25 minute “pomodoros.”
Growing up, I had a whole wall covered in corkboard so I could pin up and share mementos without wrecking the wall. This has become my grown-up, digital version of that bulletin board: a new playlist, stuff that caught my eye on the world wide web, and a bunch of shows worth considering.
good music
This month’s playlist is live. Each one lands in a slightly different place based on what I’m hearing, seeing, and feeling, but the goal is to set the right vibe for whatever’s on tap.
good stuff
If running ASMR and meditation ever collaborated, it would be this.
Here’s the ultimate guide to switching streaming services (promoted by a Spotify power user awaiting my Wrapped numbers).
Can’t decide whether to write the screenplay about train or art heists.
Might open a store that exclusively curates concert, hotel, tourist, and coffee shop merch. Bad Bunny might be my first customer.
Or maybe I’ll set my sights on starting my own private label oyster.
Celtics’ coach Joe Mazzulla’s leadership lessons are the perfect case study for business leaders trying to navigate change.
Here’s an easy act of love. Send more voice notes.
“The world is burning, but want to meet up for $34 cocktails?”
Would you have guessed that this year’s Booker Prize was written from a vintage style swivel chair in a makeshift office nook?
Shout out to the matcha farmers, purveyors, and enthusiasts for navigating the craze.
